A tag book with a diaper fold case

I wanted to keep a record of Daisy's cloth nappies as there were so many that I couldn't keep doing 12x12 layouts of them all so what better than a little tag book. I also made a cute little case to keep the book in which very appropriately was called a diaper fold

Easter baskets, a Home sign and my SLYMI week 10 effort

HOME sign

Over Christmas I made a cute Yule sign which when the festive season was over it left a bare spot on my wall that was just crying out to be replaced by a similar sign that I can keep up for the other 11 months of the year and this is what I came up with

these are made from a toilet roll middle cut into thirds and covered in pretty paper with a handle and scalloped circle base cut from cardstock. The eggs are really tiny mini eggs - half the size of the normal one which I got from Asda for 99p a bag, Tesco also do them for the same price

SLYMI week 10 - Scrap a funny face

2 mini books

Daisy "speak" book

My little Daisy "speak" book all about the little words that she cant say properly or words that we use around her which all seem to have become part of our everyday language. Pages are 4"x4" covered in a cute daisy paper set freebie from a papercrafts magazine.

Toothfairy Box/accordian book
taken from the book Made in Minutes - Mini Books byRoxi Phillips. The instructions were to cover or paint a matchbox but I didn't have any around the house so I had to make one from scratch which isn't as easy as it looks. Then glue a piece of covered cardstock measuring 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" on both the top and bottom of the box. Fisx a brad to the front of the box to act as a drawer handle
For the accordian book cut a strip of cardstock measuring 2"x12" then score and fold at intervals of 1.5" to make a book with 8 pages for photos. Put a strip of patterned paper on the cover of the book measuring 1 1/4" x 1 3/4" and tie a ribbon round the book before attaching to the matchbox.
The cover of my little book has a teensy poem from the Toothfairy and inside is an equally teensy certificate from the toothfairy's first visit and there will also be a small satin bag holding Robyns teeth once I've made it

Snow Day mini book

We had a gorgeous snow day in early Feb with heavy snow overnight closing the school. This was the first time both Robyn and Daisy had been sledging, the first time Daisy had walked in proper deep snow and the first time she had built a snowman so all this was put into a little book.
